REIC Edmonton Chapter #3 History

In 1955 the Canadian Institute of Realtors (CIR) was formed with Mr. Jack Weber of Edmonton as its first President. In 1971 it became the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC) and in 1974 it became an autonomous body. The Edmonton Chapter with 16 Charter Members was formed in 1963 and its first Chairman was also Jack Weber. Over the decades the Edmonton Chapter has grown to over 70 members and has educated hundreds of professionals in the Real Estate Industry. The REIC Edmonton Chapter is currently working closely with the IREM Edmonton Chapter to continue to fulfill the mission of REIC.
